Zastava ZAPM70 AK Rifle 7.62x39

Zastava ZAPM70 AK Rifle

The Zastava ZAPM70 represents a modern interpretation of the classic AK platform, built to exacting standards by one of Europe's most respected rifle manufacturers.

Key Features

• Caliber: 7.62x39 NATO
• Barrel: 16.5-inch chrome-lined for extended service life and corrosion resistance
• Receiver: 1.5mm stamped steel construction with bulged trunnion for enhanced durability
• Furniture: Authentic Serbian red wood handguard and furniture
• Magazine: One 30-round capacity magazine included

Design and Construction

The ZAPM70 employs a bulged trunnion design that strengthens the critical junction between barrel and receiver—a feature found on premium AK variants. The chrome-lined barrel extends the rifle's service life and provides superior corrosion resistance, particularly important for shooters in variable climates.

The 1.5mm receiver represents a middle ground between lighter stamped designs and heavier milled alternatives, offering a balance of weight, durability, and manufacturing precision.

Practical Considerations

This rifle is suitable for sport shooting, training, and field use. The 7.62x39 cartridge remains widely available and economical. The included 30-round magazine provides practical capacity for most shooting scenarios.

The Serbian red wood furniture provides both aesthetic appeal and functional ergonomics, with a warm appearance that improves over time with use.
