Magpul PMAG D-60 AR/5.56 Drum Magazine

Magpul PMAG D-60 Drum Magazine

The Magpul PMAG D-60 represents a significant advancement in high-capacity magazine design for the AR-platform rifle. This 60-round drum magazine combines practical capacity with genuine reliability—a balance that has eluded many competitors.

Key Features

• 60-round capacity for 5.56 NATO ammunition
• Durable polymer construction engineered for consistent performance
• Witness holes allow you to verify remaining ammunition at a glance
• Reliable feeding across a wide range of ammunition types
• Ergonomic design balances capacity with practical handling
• Compatible with standard AR-15 and M4 platforms

Design Philosophy

Magpul engineered the D-60 to address the real-world challenges of drum magazines. The design prioritizes reliability over raw capacity, ensuring that the magazine feeds consistently when you need it most. The witness holes eliminate guesswork about ammunition levels during extended shooting sessions.

Practical Considerations

While the 60-round capacity offers extended shooting periods between reloads, the drum's weight when fully loaded requires proper technique and support. The magazine is best suited for designated marksman roles, training scenarios, or situations where magazine changes are impractical.

This is a serious tool for serious shooters who understand the trade-offs between capacity and maneuverability.
