Why This Knife Works
The drop point blade is one of the most versatile blade shapes ever developed. It excels at general cutting tasks, camp chores, and outdoor work. The 5CR15MOV steel offers a practical balance between edge retention and ease of maintenance—it won't hold an edge quite as long as premium stainless, but it's tougher and easier to sharpen in the field.
The blackout finish eliminates glint and reflection, making this knife equally at home in tactical applications or simple backcountry work. This is honest equipment for honest work.
Practical Considerations
At 3.5 inches, the blade length keeps you legal in most jurisdictions while providing genuine utility. The Adventurer LB is sized right for everyday carry or pack duty. SOG's reputation for durability means you can depend on this knife to perform when it matters.
