Bushnell Trophy R5 12x50 Ranger Green Binoculars

Bushnell Trophy R5 12x50 Binoculars: Long-Range Observation Excellence

The Bushnell Trophy R5 represents a serious commitment to optical performance for hunters, birders, and outdoor enthusiasts who demand clarity at distance. This is a binocular built for real-world conditions and real-world use.

Optical Performance

The 12x magnification paired with 50mm objective lenses creates a powerful observation tool. Large objective lenses gather substantial light, compensating for the narrower field of view inherent to higher magnifications. You'll see 375 feet at 1000 yards—enough real estate to locate and evaluate distant subjects.

Optical quality is exceptional:

• BAK4 prism glass delivers a round exit pupil and crisp, clear images with minimal edge distortion
• Fully multicoated antireflection optics achieve 88% light transmission
• Dielectric coated prisms maximize contrast and color fidelity
• Proprietary EXO Barrier exterior coatings repel water, dirt, and sap without leaving residue

Practical Design

The closed-bridge configuration provides a solid, stable platform for the internal focusing mechanism. A large, slip-resistant center focusing wheel operates smoothly even in cold, wet conditions and while wearing gloves—a detail that matters when you're in the field.

Right-eye dioptric correction allows you to compensate for optical prescription differences, producing sharper views for both eyes. The 21mm eye relief improves viewing comfort and minimizes eye strain during extended use.

Durability and Weather Resistance

IPX7 waterproof housing is nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging from condensation. Protective rubber armor cushions minor impacts. These binoculars are built to handle the rigors of hunting season, backcountry travel, and unpredictable weather.

Practical Accessories

The included Vault Lite chest pack provides secure, comfortable carry. An optional tripod adapter socket allows hands-free use for steadier viewing at this magnification level—a worthwhile consideration for extended observation sessions.
