Burris AR-536 Prism Sight: Precision at Extended Range
The AR-536 represents a thoughtful approach to the intermediate optic problem. It is a fixed 5-power prism sight designed for shooters who demand both close-quarters capability and extended-range precision.
Key Features
- 5x magnification with 36mm objective — Provides a bright, clear sight picture across typical engagement distances
- Rotary 10-position power selector — Offers five red and five green illumination levels, plus a daylight-only black reticle position for battery conservation
- Ballistic CQ reticle — Holdover dots calibrated for 5.56 NATO and 7.62 NATO ammunition, effective to 600 yards
- CR2032 battery powered — Standard battery with reasonable runtime
- Picatinny rail compatible — Allows mounting of additional optics, lasers, or lights for mission flexibility
- Rugged prism design — Fixed magnification means no moving parts to break; the prism itself is inherently durable
- Burris Forever Warranty — Covers the entire sight against defects
Why Choose a Prism Sight?
Unlike traditional reticle-in-tube designs, the prism sight's reticle is etched directly into glass. This means the reticle remains visible and usable even if the battery dies. The fixed 5-power magnification is ideal for shooters working distances from 25 to 600 yards without the need to adjust power constantly.
