Aguila Sniper Subsonic 22 LR 60gr Rimfire Ammunition

Aguila Sniper Subsonic 22 LR Rimfire Ammunition

Aguila's Sniper Subsonic line represents a thoughtful approach to rimfire shooting where noise reduction matters. This ammunition pairs a 60-grain lead solid-point bullet with a carefully engineered short case that maintains standard .22 LR overall dimensions.

Key Features

• 60-grain lead solid-point bullet for consistent accuracy and reliable performance
• Subsonic velocity (950 fps) delivers significantly reduced noise compared to standard .22 LR loads
• Standard case dimensions ensure reliable feeding in most .22 LR firearms
• Tight groupings from the optimized bullet design
• Smooth cycling through semi-automatic and bolt-action rifles

Performance Characteristics

The subsonic velocity and heavier bullet weight create an energy profile comparable to standard .22 LR ammunition, making this round suitable for target shooting, plinking, and small-game hunting applications. The faster barrel twist accommodates the heavier projectile for improved accuracy downrange.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use in barrels longer than 20 inches. The reduced noise signature makes this ammunition particularly valuable for shooters seeking hearing-safe practice sessions or hunting scenarios where noise discipline is important.
