Mil-spec direct impingement rifle with 14.5-inch chrome-lined barrel, pinned and welded flash suppressor, ambidextrous controls, and Daniel Defense RIS III handguard. Made in USA.
The Daniel Defense DD4 M4A1RIII represents the company's commitment to manufacturing rifles that meet or exceed military specifications while maintaining the reliability demanded by professional users and serious shooters.
Both upper and lower receivers are precision CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with Type III hard coat anodizing for maximum durability. The lower receiver features Daniel Defense's proprietary design with an enhanced flared magazine well, fully ambidextrous controls, and a rear receiver QD swivel attachment point for sling mounting. The upper receiver is mil-spec with proper indexing marks and M4 feed ramps.
The 14.5-inch barrel is cold hammer-forged from chrome moly vanadium steel with a 1:7 twist rate and M4 profile. Chrome lining provides corrosion resistance and extended service life. The barrel is pinned and welded to a Daniel Defense flash suppressor, creating a permanent 16-inch overall length configuration. A mid-length direct impingement gas system with pinned low-profile gas block ensures reliable cycling across a wide range of ammunition.
The GRIP-N-RIP charging handle features a robust design with CNC-machined aluminum body and heavy-duty stainless steel roll pins. The pistol grip and buttstock are constructed from glass-filled polymer with soft touch overmolding for comfortable extended shooting sessions. A 6-position mil-spec receiver extension allows adjustment for different shooter preferences.
The Daniel Defense RIS III 12.5-inch handguard uses a patented 6-bolt bolt-up system and is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum in Flat Dark Earth. The M-LOK mounting system provides flexible accessory attachment options. The rifle ships in a Daniel Defense full-latch impact plastic case.
