Barrel and Gas System
The 16-inch cold hammer forged barrel is constructed from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a 1:7 twist rate, optimized for modern ammunition weights. The mid-length direct impingement gas system delivers a notably smoother recoil impulse compared to carbine-length systems, reducing shooter fatigue during extended shooting sessions while maintaining reliability across various ammunition types.
Handguard and Rail System
The 12.5-inch RIS III handguard represents evolution of the legendary RIS II platform developed for SOCOM applications. This lightweight aluminum rail system features:
