Why Black Works
Ducks see black on the water the way we see contrast at distance—it stands out. Rig'Em Right has built their reputation since 2006 on understanding waterfowl behavior and designing decoys that work. The Blackouts series applies a time-tested principle: adding solid black decoys to your spread increases visibility and effectiveness.
Whether you're running an all-black spread late in the season when ducks have seen everything else, or mixing a few Blackouts into your traditional spread, these decoys deliver results. Black doesn't blend—it commands attention.
What You Get
Each six-pack includes:
- 2 upright drake profiles
- 2 low-head drake profiles
- 1 upright hen profile
- 1 low-head hen profile
Construction
Built from durable HDPE plastic, these decoys are designed to withstand the rigors of regular use. The material resists UV damage and won't crack or fade with proper care.
The Bottom Line
Simplicity often works best in duck hunting. The Blackouts prove that sometimes the most effective tool is the one that's been working for generations—just executed with modern materials and thoughtful design.
