Important Break-In Information
Glock magazines are engineered with tight tolerances for reliability. When new, the magazine spring is stiff and may resist loading the final round until the magazine has been broken in.
Recommended break-in procedure:
- Load the magazine with 32 rounds (all but the last round) and allow it to sit for several days
- The spring will gradually compress and conform to normal use
- Alternatively, cycle the magazine from full to empty multiple times to accelerate the break-in period
- After break-in, the magazine will load and function smoothly
This is normal behavior with factory-fresh Glock magazines and does not indicate a defect. Once broken in, you'll have a reliable, high-capacity magazine built to Glock's exacting standards.
