Meprolight Hyper-Bright Front Sight for Kimber 1911 Pistols
The Meprolight ML41218 represents a thoughtful approach to pistol sighting systems. This fixed front sight combines two proven optical principles: a large, brightly colored ring for daylight shooting and tritium illumination for low-light performance.
Key Features
- Contrasting Color Ring: The yellow front sight ring creates immediate visual contrast against most backgrounds, allowing shooters to acquire the front sight quickly and naturally
- Tritium Illumination: Green tritium provides reliable nighttime and low-light aiming without batteries or external power
- Optimized for Defensive Use: The combination of bright daylight visibility and night-capable tritium makes this sight practical for both competitive and defensive applications
- Kimber 1911 Specific: Engineered to fit Kimber 1911 platform pistols with proper dovetail compatibility
Why This Matters
Front sight focus is fundamental to accurate shooting. The high-contrast design of the Hyper-Bright system reduces the time required to locate and focus on the front sight—a critical advantage in time-pressured scenarios. The tritium backing ensures you're never without a usable sight picture, regardless of ambient light.
This is a straightforward, reliable upgrade for shooters who want their 1911 sights to work as hard as they do.
