Purpose and Function
The Redding body die is a specialized reloading tool designed to address a common problem faced by handloaders: cases that become increasingly difficult to chamber after repeated firing and neck sizing.
How It Works
Unlike full-length sizing dies, the body die focuses exclusively on the case body and shoulder position. It resizes the case body while bumping the shoulder back to proper position for reliable chambering—all without disturbing or working the case neck. This targeted approach preserves neck concentricity and minimizes unnecessary case work.
