This is a complete reloading die set purpose-built for the 45-70 Government cartridge, one of America's most enduring rifle rounds. The set includes three precision-engineered dies that handle every stage of the reloading process.

What's Included

Sizer Die — This steel die performs two critical functions: it resizes the fired case back to factory dimensions and simultaneously de-primes the spent primer. Cases must be lubricated before sizing to ensure smooth operation and prevent damage.

Expander Die — After sizing, this die expands the case mouth to the proper diameter for bullet seating. It also imparts a controlled flare or bell to the case mouth, which aids in smooth bullet feeding and helps prevent bullet shaving during the seating process.

Seater Die — This die seats your bullet to precise depth and applies a roll crimp to secure the bullet in place. Roll crimping is the preferred method for straight-wall rifle cartridges like the 45-70, as it provides reliable bullet retention without damaging the case.
