Rio Heavy Field 28-Gauge Shotshells

The Rio Heavy Field line represents a thoughtful approach to sub-gauge shotgun ammunition, engineered specifically for hunters who favor smaller-bore firearms. These 28-gauge loads bridge the gap between full-power magnum shells and lighter target loads, offering genuine utility for the small game hunter.

Design Philosophy

These shells are built around the principle that effective small game hunting doesn't require magnum velocities or heavy shot charges. The moderate velocity ensures manageable recoil while maintaining the energy necessary for clean, ethical kills at reasonable hunting distances.

Whether you're a traditionalist who prefers the handling characteristics of a 28-gauge or a newcomer exploring sub-gauge options, Rio Heavy Field shells deliver the performance you need in the field.
