Sierra MatchKing .308 230gr HPBT Rifle Bullets

Sierra MatchKing .308 230-Grain HPBT Bullets

The Sierra MatchKing represents the pinnacle of match-grade bullet design for long-range rifle competition and precision shooting. These 230-grain hollow point boat tail projectiles are engineered for shooters who demand the highest levels of accuracy and consistency.

Superior Ballistic Design

Key Features:

• Sleek 27-caliber elongated ogive for reduced drag
• Final meplat pointing operation for optimized ballistic coefficient
• Unique bearing surface to ogive junction matches 1.5-degree angle found in match rifle chambers
• Ensures precise bullet-to-bore alignment for maximum accuracy

Performance Characteristics

These bullets deliver exceptional wind resistance and velocity retention across a wide range of shooting distances. Ballistic coefficients vary with velocity:

• .800 BC at 1880 fps and above
• .780 BC between 1600-1880 fps
• .740 BC at 1600 fps and below

Important Considerations

MatchKing bullets are purpose-built for target shooting and competition. They are not recommended for hunting applications due to their design characteristics. While commonly used for varmint hunting, they will not provide the same reliable expansion as specialized varmint bullets at equivalent velocities.

Barrel Requirement: Your rifle must have a 1:8" or faster twist rate to properly stabilize these bullets.

Each box contains 50 bullets.
