Caldwell Lead Sled Solo Recoil-Reducing Rifle Rest

Caldwell Lead Sled Solo: Precision Shooting Rest

The Lead Sled Solo represents a thoughtful approach to the shooting bench. It's engineered to handle the recoil management challenge that confronts every serious rifleman, whether you're sighting in a hunting rifle or fine-tuning a competition gun.

Design and Construction

Caldwell built this rest with heavy-duty steel construction that provides a genuinely stable platform. The offset frame design is particularly noteworthy—it accommodates modern rifles with detachable magazines (including AR-15 platforms) as well as traditional lever-action rifles. This versatility means you won't need multiple rests for different firearms.

Key Features

• Recoil Reduction: The integrated weight tray accepts a single 25-pound bag of lead shot. Combined with heavy-duty springs between frame members, this system all but eliminates recoil on standard calibers and significantly reduces it on magnum rounds.
• Elevation Control: A smooth pivoting system controlled by a single knob allows fast, precise adjustments without fumbling with multiple controls.
• Non-Marring Support: Both front and rear supports feature durable rubberized coatings that protect your firearm's finish.
• Height Adjustable: The front support adjusts to accommodate different rifle profiles and shooting positions.
• Gun Retention: An integrated strap secures your rifle's forend to the rest, and a welded steel brace with rubber boot protects the buttstock.

Practical Dimensions

The 18" × 26" footprint provides a solid, manageable shooting platform suitable for most bench setups.

This is a rest built for shooters who understand that precision begins with stability.
