Remington 870 Fieldmaster Compact 20-Gauge Shotgun

The Remington 870 Fieldmaster Compact: A Proven Workhorse

The Model 870 has earned its reputation as one of the most reliable pump-action shotguns ever manufactured. This compact 20-gauge version maintains that legendary dependability while offering a lighter, more maneuverable platform ideal for hunters of smaller stature or those who prefer reduced recoil.

Built for Performance

Solid Steel Construction

• Receiver milled from a solid billet of steel for maximum strength and durability
• This manufacturing approach ensures the shotgun will function reliably for generations

Smooth, Reliable Operation

• Improved twin action bars prevent binding and twisting during the cycling process
• Ensures consistent performance when you need a second shot
• The proven design has been trusted by hunters and sport shooters for decades

Practical Field Features

• Gauge: 20-gauge (lighter recoil, effective for upland game and clay sports)
• Barrel Length: 21 inches (compact and maneuverable in brush and timber)
• Capacity: 4 rounds (3-inch chamber compatible)
• Stock: Synthetic material (weather-resistant and low-maintenance)
• Finish: Express Finish with non-reflective matte black metalwork (reduces glare and blends into the field)

The Right Tool for the Job

This is a shotgun dressed for the hunt, not for display. The synthetic stock and matte finish prioritize function over aesthetics.
