The Taurus GX2 represents a modern approach to the compact defensive pistol, and this Purple Sparkle variant adds genuine style to proven functionality.
Design and Construction
This is a single-action-only (SAO) compact pistol built on a polymer frame with an alloy steel slide finished in an eye-catching purple sparkle custom coating. The stainless steel barrel measures 3.38 inches, making this a true pocket-sized defensive tool. Overall dimensions are 6.19 inches in length, 4.89 inches in height, and just 1.18 inches wide—ideal for concealed carry. Unloaded weight is a manageable 19.04 ounces.
Sights and Controls
The GX2 features a fixed white dot front sight paired with a drift-adjustable rear sight, giving you a capable sight picture right out of the box with the ability to fine-tune windage as needed. The trigger incorporates a safety mechanism, and an accessory rail allows mounting of lights or lasers for tactical flexibility.
Capacity and Reliability
With a 13-round magazine capacity, you get meaningful firepower in a compact package. Two magazines are included, providing 26 rounds of immediate availability. The 1:10-inch right-hand twist with six grooves ensures stable bullet flight and reliable performance.
The Bottom Line
The GX2 Purple Sparkle delivers compact carry capability without sacrificing personality. Whether you're looking for a backup gun, off-duty carry piece, or first defensive pistol, this Taurus offers genuine value with genuine style.
