The Taurus 650: Serious Concealed Carry Performance
The Taurus 650 represents a time-tested approach to personal protection: a compact, reliable revolver designed for everyday carry and defensive use.
Design and Handling
This 5-shot snub-nose revolver features a fully shrouded hammer that eliminates snagging on clothing during the draw. The sleek profile minimizes printing when carried concealed, making it an ideal choice for those who value discretion without sacrificing capability.
Mechanical Reliability
The Double Action Only (DAO) trigger system with internal hammer design delivers smooth, consistent performance. The revolver is engineered to reliably ignite magnum primers under high-stress conditions—a critical consideration for defensive ammunition.
Ammunition Flexibility
Chamber versatility is a significant advantage:
- .357 Magnum — Full-power defensive loads
- .38 Special — Standard pressure practice rounds
- .38 Special +P — Mid-range power option
This flexibility allows shooters to train economically with standard .38 Special while carrying potent .357 Magnum loads for serious situations.
Practical Compatibility
The 5-shot cylinder accepts speedloaders and holsters designed for small-frame .357 Magnum revolvers, ensuring you have access to proven accessories and support equipment.
The Taurus 650 delivers proven revolver reliability in a package built for concealed carry.
