Ruger LC Carbine 5.7x28mm Autoloading Rifle

Ruger LC Carbine: Compact Power in 5.7x28mm

The Ruger LC Carbine represents a thoughtful approach to modern rifle design—compact, lightweight, and purposefully engineered for shooters who value balance and control.

Design and Handling

Weighing under 6 pounds, this carbine achieves remarkable portability without sacrificing capability. The unique bolt-over-barrel design with magazine-in-grip positioning creates excellent balance and natural pointability. You'll immediately notice how the rifle points rather than aims—a quality that matters when precision counts.

Barrel and Accuracy

The 16.25-inch fluted barrel features nitride treatment for superior strength and longevity. This length strikes an effective balance between velocity and maneuverability. The fluting reduces weight while maintaining rigidity, contributing to the rifle's overall handling characteristics.

Controls and Ergonomics

Ruger has equipped the LC Carbine with genuinely ambidextrous controls:

• Manual Safety: 1911-style, accessible from both sides
• Charging Handle: Reversible for left or right-hand operation
• Bolt Release: Ergonomically positioned for intuitive operation
• Magazine Release: Extended latch for positive engagement

Fire Control System

The Secure Action trigger system combines a protected internal hammer with a bladed-safety trigger. The result is a short, smooth pull with a clean break and positive reset—characteristics that encourage accurate shooting.

Accessories and Modularity

The CNC-milled handguard is Type III hard-coat anodized aluminum with M-LOK accessory slots for customization. Multiple QD sling sockets provide mounting versatility. The full-length Picatinny rail accommodates optics of your choice. Ruger Rapid Deploy folding sights offer windage and elevation adjustment for backup aiming.

Safety Features

Multiple safety layers work together: ambidextrous manual safety, integrated trigger safety, lightweight firing pin, neutrally balanced sear with significant engagement, strong spring tension, and hammer catch to prevent unintended firing.

What's Included

One Ruger-5.7 steel magazine, ambidextrous magazine button, M-LOK QD sling socket, and hex wrenches for field disassembly.

The Bottom Line

The LC Carbine is a state-compliant rifle that doesn't compromise on quality or shootability. It's built for those who understand that a good rifle should work with you, not against you.
