This bolt-action rifle features a one-piece Modular Driven Technologies (MDT) aluminum chassis machined from billet stock. The design prioritizes shooter comfort and precision with an adjustable cheek riser and length-of-pull spacers that allow you to dial in the perfect fit for your shooting style.
The barrel is where Savage's expertise shines. A precision button-rifled stainless steel tube measuring 18 inches long is wrapped in carbon fiber for optimal balance and heat dissipation. The carbon fiber wrap reduces weight while maintaining the heavy barrel profile necessary for consistent accuracy. The 1-in-9 twist rate stabilizes 17 HMR ammunition reliably.
