The Chiappa Rhino 60DS: A Different Kind of Revolver
The Chiappa Rhino 60DS represents a fundamental departure from conventional revolver design. Rather than the traditional high-mounted barrel, this Italian-made revolver positions its bore along the lower chamber of the cylinder. This low-bore-axis design delivers genuine advantages to the shooter.
Key Features
- Low-Bore-Axis Design: Reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise, allowing faster, more accurate follow-up shots
- 357 Magnum Caliber: Delivers substantial power for defensive and hunting applications
- 6-Inch Barrel: Optimal balance of velocity, sight radius, and handling characteristics
- Adjustable Sights: Allows precise zeroing for your preferred ammunition
- Black Finish: Durable, professional appearance
- Solid Construction: Built to Chiappa's exacting standards
Why the Rhino Stands Apart
The lower bore axis means less muzzle flip and reduced recoil impulse—a real advantage when shooting powerful magnum loads. The gun naturally points lower, reducing the need for aggressive grip compensation. The six-inch barrel provides excellent velocity for 357 Magnum ammunition while maintaining reasonable handling characteristics.
This is a revolver for shooters who value function over convention. It's equally at home on the range, in the field, or as a serious defensive tool.
