Alpha Foxtrot AF1911 Romulus: Modern 1911 Performance
The Alpha Foxtrot Romulus represents a thoughtful evolution of the venerable 1911 design. By chambering this proven platform in 9mm Luger, Alpha Foxtrot has created a pistol that honors the legacy of John Browning's masterpiece while addressing the practical concerns of today's shooters.
Key Features
- Caliber: 9mm Luger—offering improved capacity and reduced recoil compared to traditional .45 ACP
- Barrel Length: 5 inches—the classic 1911 length that balances velocity, handling, and concealability
- Design Philosophy: Modern manufacturing meets traditional 1911 ergonomics and controls
- Reliability: Built on proven 1911 principles with contemporary quality standards
Why the 1911 in 9mm?
The 1911 platform has earned its reputation through a century of service. The Romulus preserves what works—the intuitive manual safety, the crisp trigger, the natural point-of-aim—while the 9mm chambering provides shooters with higher capacity magazines and softer recoil impulse. This makes the Romulus an excellent choice for both experienced 1911 shooters and those new to the platform.
Ideal For
Competitive shooters, sport shooters, and those seeking a modern interpretation of a timeless design. The Romulus bridges the gap between tradition and contemporary shooting sports.
