Savage Impulse Core Hunter 7mm Backcountry Rifle

The Modern Backcountry Hunter's Rifle

The Savage Impulse Core Hunter represents a significant evolution in hunting rifle design. This straight-pull bolt-action rifle bridges the gap between traditional bolt-action reliability and the rapid-fire capability of semi-automatic systems—without the complexity or maintenance demands of self-loading mechanisms.

Design Philosophy

Savage engineered the Core Hunter specifically for hunters who demand speed without sacrificing accuracy. The straight-pull action cycles faster than conventional rotating-bolt designs while maintaining the inherent safety and precision that have made bolt-actions the standard for serious hunters. The ambidextrous, multi-positional bolt handle accommodates both left and right-handed shooters with equal efficiency.
