Savage Axis XP Left-Hand Rifle in 400 Legend
The Savage Axis XP represents a thoughtful approach to modern rifle design—straightforward, reliable, and built for the working hunter who values function over flash.
Key Features
- Left-Hand Configuration: Properly designed for left-handed shooters, not a conversion. Controls and ejection are positioned correctly for natural operation.
- 400 Legend Cartridge: A modern straight-wall hunting round offering excellent ballistics for medium game at practical hunting distances. Delivers substantial energy with moderate recoil.
- 20-Inch Barrel: Provides excellent velocity while maintaining a compact, maneuverable profile in the field.
- AccuTrigger: Savage's user-adjustable trigger system delivers a clean break without excessive creep, improving shot placement consistency.
- Weaver Scope Base: Pre-drilled and tapped for immediate optic mounting—no gunsmithing required.
- Detachable Box Magazine: Allows quick ammunition changes and simplified cleaning.
Design Philosophy
The Axis platform prioritizes reliability and ease of use. The bolt operates smoothly, the safety is intuitive, and the overall ergonomics favor practical hunting scenarios over competition shooting. This is a rifle built to work, not to impress at the range.
