Savage Axis II XP Left-Hand Rifle
The Savage Axis II XP represents a straightforward approach to modern rifle design—built for shooters who value reliability and accuracy without unnecessary complexity.
Key Features
- Caliber: 5.56 NATO
- Barrel Length: 20 inches
- Action: Left-hand bolt action
- Stock: Green composite furniture
- Scope Base: Weaver-style mounting system included
- Magazine: Detachable box magazine
Design Philosophy
The Axis II platform delivers the essentials: a smooth bolt action, predictable trigger performance, and a receiver drilled and tapped for optics. The left-hand configuration ensures proper ergonomics for southpaw shooters—a feature often overlooked by manufacturers.
The 20-inch barrel strikes a practical balance between velocity and handling, making this rifle suitable for range work, hunting applications, and tactical training. The green composite stock provides weather resistance and a modern aesthetic.
Practical Considerations
This rifle comes ready to mount a scope via the included Weaver base. The detachable magazine system allows quick ammunition changes and easy cleaning. The 5.56 NATO chambering offers ammunition availability and cost-effectiveness for regular shooters.
Whether you're new to rifle shooting or adding to an existing collection, the Axis II XP delivers dependable performance at a reasonable price point.
