Why the 28 Gauge?
The 28 gauge occupies a unique niche in shotgun hunting. It delivers sufficient power for turkey and upland game while generating significantly less recoil than 12 or 20 gauge alternatives. This makes it an excellent choice for younger shooters, those sensitive to recoil, or anyone who simply prefers a more pleasant shooting experience.
Practical Design
The SA-28's lightweight construction and quick-swinging profile make it ideal for hunting in tight cover where brush and trees demand a responsive gun. The ventilated rib aids target acquisition, while the Mossy Oak Greenleaf pattern provides effective concealment in woodland and field environments.
Mossberg's reputation for reliable, affordable firearms is well-earned, and the SA-28 continues that tradition with solid construction and dependable semi-automatic operation.
