The Savage 1911 Government is forged from stainless steel throughout, with a 5-inch barrel machined from billet steel and crowned at 11 degrees for superior accuracy. The dual recoil spring system with GI-style guide rod and barrel bushing manages recoil effectively while maintaining the classic 1911 profile.
