Chiappa's distinctive Rhino 80DS revolver in 44 Magnum with an 8-inch barrel and California-compliant design. Unique lower bore axis reduces recoil and muzzle rise for improved control.
Chiappa Rhino 80DS: A Different Approach to Magnum Revolver Design
The Chiappa Rhino 80DS represents a thoughtful departure from conventional revolver engineering. Its most distinctive feature is the lower bore axis—the barrel sits lower relative to the shooter's hand than traditional designs. This geometry meaningfully reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise, allowing faster, more accurate follow-up shots.
