Rock Island 1911DS Comp Carry 9mm 4.25" 15-Round

Rock Island 1911DS Comp Carry: Modern 1911 Engineering

The 1911DS Comp Carry represents a thoughtful evolution of the classic 1911 platform, designed for shooters who demand both tradition and modern performance.

Key Features

• Caliber & Capacity: 9mm with 15-round magazine capacity—a significant advantage over standard .45 ACP configurations
• Barrel Length: 4.25" barrel strikes a balance between sight radius and concealability
• Compensator: Integrated compensator reduces muzzle rise and recoil impulse, improving shot placement and follow-up speed
• Double Stack Magazine: The double-stack design delivers higher capacity without excessive grip width
• Proven Platform: Built on the time-tested 1911 design, refined through generations of combat and competition use

Why This Matters

The 1911 remains one of the most reliable and shootable platforms ever designed. The addition of a compensator and modern magazine capacity makes this version suitable for defensive carry, competition shooting, or recreational use. The 9mm chambering offers lower recoil and cost-per-round compared to larger calibers, while maintaining proven stopping capability.

Ideal For

• Competitive shooters seeking a reliable platform with modern features
• Defensive-minded shooters who appreciate 1911 ergonomics and controls
• Those transitioning from larger calibers who want reduced recoil
• Shooters who value American-made firearms at accessible prices
