Breeding Jake and Laydown Hen Turkey Decoy Combo
This Higdon Outdoors combo recreates one of the most effective spring setups a gobbler can encounter. The pairing of a Breeding Jake and Laydown Hen creates a highly realistic breeding scenario that pulls aggressive gobblers into range.
The Setup
The Breeding Jake displays the unmistakable posture of a young dominant jake moving in to breed—an instant trigger for mature toms that communicates both challenge and competition. Paired with the Laydown Hen, which mimics a submissive breeding posture, this combination flips the switch on territorial birds that refuse to tolerate another turkey stealing a hen.
