Citadel Coach 12 Gauge Side-by-Side Shotgun

Citadel Coach Side-by-Side Shotgun

The Citadel Coach represents a time-honored approach to shotgun design—a compact, handy side-by-side that excels in close-quarters work. This is a working gun, not a showpiece, though its heat-tempered walnut stock and checkered grip and forend give it genuine character.

Key Features

• Barrel: 18.5" blued barrels with fixed chokes

• Sights: Metal bead front sight for quick target acquisition
• Stock: Heat-tempered Turkish walnut with checkered forend and grip for secure handling
• Capacity: 2-round magazine (typical for side-by-side shotguns)
• Safety: Tang-mounted safety for positive engagement
• Extractors: Automatic extractors eject spent shells

Why the Coach Design?

The short 18.5" barrels make this shotgun maneuverable in tight spaces—ideal for home defense or hunting in brush. The side-by-side configuration gives you two barrels with different chokes, letting you select the right pattern for your shot. The single trigger simplifies operation under stress, while the barrel selector lets you choose which barrel fires first.

Built for Purpose

This is not a gun designed by committee. The Coach shotgun follows a proven formula that has worked for over a century. It's simple, reliable, and effective. The walnut furniture absorbs recoil better than synthetic materials, and the blued finish develops character with use.
