Howa M1500 Super Lite 243 Winchester 20-Inch Walnut
Howa's innovative mid-size action bridges the gap between their Mini and Short Action platforms. A lightweight, affordable mountain rifle perfect for hunters seeking a compact, quick-handling setup without compromise.
Howa M1500 Super Lite: Engineered for the Serious Hunter
Howa has long understood what working hunters need: a rifle that's quick to shoulder, easy to carry, and reliable when it counts. The M1500 Super Lite represents a thoughtful evolution of their proven action design.
The Action Advantage
This rifle features Howa's unique mid-size action—a platform that splits the difference between their popular Mini Action and standard Short Action. This engineering choice matters. You get:
- Optimal proportions for the .243 Winchester cartridge
- Reduced receiver length without sacrificing reliability
- Better ergonomics for hunters who value quick handling
Built for Mountain Work
The 20-inch barrel strikes an intelligent balance. It's short enough for easy maneuvering through timber and tight tree stand spaces, yet long enough to deliver the velocity the .243 Winchester needs for ethical hunting at reasonable distances. The walnut furniture adds classic appeal while keeping weight down.
The Practical Choice
This is a rifle built for hunters who understand that the best gun is the one you'll actually carry all day. Whether you're glassing ridgelines or waiting in a stand, the Super Lite's compact profile and manageable weight make it a genuine pleasure to hunt with. Performance and value—without the premium price tag.
