Safariland Species: A New Generation of Concealed Carry
The Species represents Safariland's answer to shooters who demand serious concealment without sacrificing comfort or security. This is a purpose-built holster for the Springfield Hellcat, engineered with the minimalist philosophy that less bulk means better carry.
Design and Construction
The Species employs SafariLaminate thermal-molded construction—the same durable material Safariland has refined over decades. This isn't Kydex; it's a superior composite that resists wear, maintains its shape, and handles temperature changes without the brittleness of lesser materials.
The suede lining protects your Hellcat's finish while providing a secure grip on the firearm. This attention to detail separates quality holsters from the rest.
Concealment and Comfort
Minimalist design reduces bulk in the areas that matter most for appendix carry. You get a smaller footprint than traditional IWB holsters without compromising retention or accessibility.
The fully adjustable cant and vertical mounting clip lets you dial in your carry angle and height. Whether you prefer a slight forward cant or straight vertical, this holster adapts to your body and your preferences.
Retention and Safety
Integrated passive trigger guard retention means your Hellcat stays secure without external safeties or unnecessary complexity. The dual-function tension adjustment allows you to personalize the draw resistance—tighter for active duty, lighter for everyday carry.
