Diamondback DB15 Obsidian: A Modern Tactical Rifle
The Diamondback DB15 Obsidian represents a thoughtful approach to modern rifle design. Built on a 7075-T6 aluminum receiver, this rifle balances durability with practical weight management at just 6.6 pounds.
Barrel and Gas System
The 16-inch chrome moly vanadium barrel features a black nitride finish with Flat Dark Earth Cerakote, providing both corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal. A mid-length direct impingement gas system ensures reliable cycling across a wide range of ammunition. The barrel is threaded to accept the included DB Obsidian muzzle brake, which helps manage recoil and muzzle rise.
Controls and Ergonomics
Ambidextrous controls make this rifle equally suited for left and right-handed shooters. The Breekarms ambi Warhammer charging handle and Battlearms enhanced bolt catch provide smooth operation and positive engagement. The Magpul MOE K2 grip in Flat Dark Earth offers comfortable, secure handling, while the Magpul CTR stock provides adjustable length of pull for different shooters and gear configurations.
Handguard and Accessories
The 15-inch M-LOK handguard delivers ample real estate for mounting lights, lasers, and other tactical accessories. A front quick-detach point is included for sling attachment.
Reliability and Included Accessories
The magnetic particle inspected mil-spec bolt carrier group meets military specifications for durability. The rifle ships with a 30-round Magpul Gen3 PMAG magazine.
Whether for home defense, sport shooting, or professional use, the DB15 Obsidian delivers practical performance.
