The Danger Close Reticle Advantage
The DCR reticle is a refined modification of the proven circle-dot design. Rather than a complete ring, the top portion is removed for a cleaner sight picture. More importantly, the bottom features a chevron—an aiming point specifically calculated to compensate for the height-over-bore offset when engaging targets at 7 yards. This means you get three confident aiming solutions in a single optic:
- 7-yard close engagement using the chevron
- 50-yard zero using the primary dot
- 200-yard extended range using the upper ring
This is particularly valuable for .223/5.56 rifles, where traditional single-zero approaches create problems at close distance.
