The Weatherby 307 Alpine ST: Engineered for Elevation
The Alpine ST represents a modern approach to mountain hunting—a rifle that refuses to compromise between power and portability. Built on Weatherby's 307 action platform, this is a purpose-built tool for hunters who climb high and shoot far.
Action & Accuracy
The 307 action is a 2-lug, fully cylindrical design that serves as the foundation for this rifle. This architecture provides exceptional compatibility with modern aftermarket accessories, stocks, triggers, and mounting systems. The 20-inch spiral fluted barrel is chambered in 7mm Backcountry with a 1:8" twist rate, delivering the precision required for ethical long-range shooting.
Practical Features
- Threaded Muzzle: 5/8x24 threading accommodates suppressors and muzzle devices
- Accubrake ST: Included factory brake reduces recoil and helps manage felt impulse
- Drilled & Tapped: Pre-drilled for standard optics mounts—no gunsmithing required
- Weight: Just 6.1 pounds, critical for all-day mountain pursuits
- Capacity: 4+1 rounds of 7mm Backcountry
Stock & Ergonomics
The Peak 44 Bastion carbon fiber stock weighs only 24 ounces and features a proprietary 3D-Hex recoil pad engineered to absorb and dissipate recoil energy. The grey and tan finish is both functional and aesthetically refined—built to blend into high-country environments while maintaining a modern, purposeful appearance.
