The Taurus Raging Hunter: Purpose-Built for the Field

The Taurus Raging Hunter in 350 Legend represents a significant evolution in modern revolver design. This large-frame, six-shot revolver chambers the increasingly popular 350 Legend cartridge—a straight-walled round that delivers genuine stopping power for hunting applications while remaining manageable in recoil.

Design and Engineering

Taurus engineered the Raging Hunter with several innovations that set it apart:

• Angular barrel design reduces overall weight without sacrificing strength or durability
• Factory-tuned porting and integrated gas expansion chamber significantly reduce muzzle lift, enabling faster follow-up shots
• Cushioned insert grips provide comfort and control during extended shooting sessions
• Transfer bar safety ensures secure handling in the field

Sighting System

The revolver features a practical sighting arrangement:

• Fiber optic front sight gathers ambient light for quick target acquisition
• Fully adjustable rear sight allows precise zeroing for varying distances and ammunition loads

Specifications

This 14-inch barrel variant weighs 83.4 ounces and measures 20.5 inches overall. The two-tone finish—matte stainless steel frame and barrel paired with matte black oxide cylinder—provides both aesthetic appeal and corrosion resistance. The large frame accommodates the 350 Legend cartridge while maintaining the ergonomic balance Taurus built into this platform.

The Bottom Line
