Browning X-Bolt 2 Composite Special: Purpose-Built for the Field

The Browning X-Bolt 2 Composite Special represents the evolution of one of the most respected bolt-action platforms in modern hunting rifles. This is a rifle designed by shooters, for shooters—combining proven engineering with practical features that matter in the field.

Action and Handling

The X-Bolt 2 action is the foundation of this rifle's reliability. The short bolt lift (60 degrees) allows for rapid cycling without excessive movement, critical when you need to stay on target between shots. The action feeds smoothly and consistently, whether you're working through a magazine or loading single rounds. The crisp trigger breaks cleanly, giving you the confidence to execute precise shots when it counts.

Barrel and Accuracy

The 20-inch threaded heavy barrel strikes an intelligent balance. It's substantial enough to deliver the accuracy you expect from a modern rifle, yet the sporter profile keeps the overall weight manageable for field use. The threaded muzzle accommodates suppressors or muzzle devices, offering flexibility for your shooting setup. In 7mm Rem Mag, this barrel delivers the velocity and energy needed for hunting at extended ranges.

Stock and Durability

The composite stock is engineered for real-world conditions. It resists moisture, temperature extremes, and the wear that comes with serious use. The ergonomic design provides a solid shooting platform, whether from the bench or in the field.

Magazine and Capacity

The three-round detachable magazine keeps the rifle trim while providing adequate capacity for most hunting scenarios.

The Bottom Line

This is a rifle built on the principle that function follows form. It's accurate, reliable, and designed to perform when conditions are less than ideal. Whether you're hunting elk in the high country or taking long-range shots across open terrain, the X-Bolt 2 Composite Special delivers the performance serious shooters expect.
