Colt M4 to M5 Commando Upper Receiver Kit 5.56 NATO

Colt M4 to M5 Commando Upper Receiver Kit

This upper receiver kit represents a straightforward path to upgrading your M4 platform rifle. Colt's engineering delivers a purpose-built commando configuration that balances firepower with maneuverability.

Key Features

• 11.5-inch Heavy Barrel: Provides superior accuracy and durability compared to lightweight profiles. The heavy profile resists heat distortion during sustained fire and maintains point-of-impact consistency.
• 5.56 NATO Chambering: The standard intermediate rifle cartridge, offering excellent ballistics, widespread ammunition availability, and proven reliability.
• Direct M4 to M5 Compatibility: Designed as a drop-in upgrade for existing M4 platforms. Simply remove your current upper receiver and install this unit.
• Commando Configuration: The 11.5-inch barrel length delivers a compact package ideal for close-quarters work, vehicle operations, or home defense applications while maintaining effective range.
• Colt Manufacturing Quality: Built to Colt's exacting standards with proper headspacing and finishing.

Practical Considerations

The heavy barrel adds weight forward of the receiver, which some shooters appreciate for recoil management. The shorter barrel length produces a louder report and more pronounced muzzle flash than longer barrels—consider a suppressor or flash hider if this concerns you. This upper receiver requires a compatible lower receiver and bolt carrier group to complete your rifle.

A proven upgrade for shooters seeking a more compact, maneuverable rifle without sacrificing Colt's reputation for reliability.
