Why the Model 70 Matters
The Model 70 has been the standard against which other bolt-action rifles are measured since 1936. Its three-position safety, smooth action, and inherent accuracy make it equally at home in the field or on the bench. The Featherweight variant keeps weight manageable without sacrificing the strength and reliability Winchester is known for.
The 270 Winchester delivers excellent ballistics for hunting deer, elk, and similar game at extended ranges. Ammunition is readily available, and the cartridge's reputation for clean, ethical kills is well-earned.
