Enhanced Bolt Manipulation for Modern Shooters

The Magpul B.A.D. Lever addresses a fundamental ergonomic shortcoming of the AR-15 platform: the bolt catch paddle sits on the left side of the receiver, forcing right-handed shooters to break their grip or shift their hand to reload. This lever extends that capability to the right side of the weapon.

How It Works

The B.A.D. Lever attaches to your existing bolt catch paddle with a single screw—no permanent modifications required. Once installed, you can manipulate the bolt stop from your normal firing position using your right-hand trigger finger. This dramatically speeds up reloads and malfunction clearance drills.

Design & Compatibility

• Ambidextrous functionality: Works equally well for left and right-handed shooters
• Traditional operation preserved: You can still use the standard bolt catch manipulation method if needed
• Thin, snag-resistant profile: The textured surface won't interfere with trigger access or catch on gear
• Compatible with mil-spec receivers: Works with standard forged AR-15/M16 receivers

Note: Not compatible with .308 Winchester rifles, billet receivers, or polymer lowers with non-standard dimensions.

Construction & Durability

Machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with MIL-A-8625F Type III hard anodizing, the B.A.D. Lever is built to withstand years of hard use. The included Torx mounting screw features a Nyloc blue patch to prevent loosening under recoil. A Torx wrench is included for installation and adjustment.
