Sierra GameKing .270 Cal 130gr Spitzer Boat Tail

Sierra GameKing .270 Caliber 130-Grain Spitzer Boat Tail

The Sierra GameKing represents the pinnacle of hunting bullet design, engineered specifically for shooters who demand performance at extended ranges. This 130-grain offering combines the aerodynamic advantages of a boat tail design with Sierra's proven construction standards.

Design and Construction

Boat Tail Advantage: The streamlined tapered base significantly reduces drag, resulting in higher retained velocity and flatter trajectory. This translates directly to less wind drift and more consistent energy delivery downrange.

Double Taper Jacket: Sierra's proprietary double taper jacket construction ensures controlled expansion and reliable penetration on medium game. The design balances expansion for quick, ethical kills with sufficient penetration for complete energy transfer.

Spitzer Point: The aerodynamic spitzer profile enhances ballistic performance and contributes to the bullet's exceptional accuracy characteristics.

Performance Characteristics

• Ballistic Coefficient: .436 at 2800+ fps; .418 between 2800-2200 fps; .402 between 2200-1800 fps; .387 at 1800 fps and below
• Sectional Density: .242
• Accuracy: Half-minute of angle groups are achievable in accurate hunting rifles near maximum loads
• Ideal Application: Long-range hunting where flat trajectory and energy retention are paramount

Why Choose GameKing

Sierra GameKing bullets bridge the gap between match-grade accuracy and hunting-specific performance. The combination of high ballistic coefficient, inherent accuracy, and controlled expansion makes this bullet an excellent choice for hunters who refuse to compromise on either precision or ethical performance.
