Design Excellence
Precision Manufacturing
- Extremely thin jackets drawn to 0.0003" maximum concentricity variation
- Weight held to ±0.3 grain tolerance
- Hollow point design with minimal meplat for optimized ballistic coefficient
- Boat tail configuration reduces drag and further improves aerodynamic efficiency
Ballistic Performance
- Sectional density: .253
- Ballistic coefficient ranges from .405 to .462 depending on velocity
- Delivers flat trajectory and high momentum retention across all practical shooting distances
- Minimal sensitivity to crosswind deflection
Competitive Heritage
Sierra MatchKing bullets have established an unmatched record in competitive shooting. Competitors worldwide have relied on their consistent accuracy to set state, national, and world records. The #2200 has proven itself as a successful choice for serious competitive shooters for decades.
Intended Use
These bullets are engineered exclusively for target shooting and competitive applications. While some shooters have used them for hunting, Sierra recommends them only for target and competition use. Their design prioritizes accuracy over expansion characteristics needed for hunting.
