Sierra Pro-Hunter 8mm 150gr Spitzer Bullets

Sierra Pro-Hunter 8mm Rifle Bullets

Sierra's Pro-Hunter line represents a time-tested approach to hunting ammunition that balances the demands of accuracy, penetration, and expansion. These 150-grain Spitzer bullets in 8mm (.323") caliber are purpose-built for hunters who demand clean, ethical kills on medium to heavy game animals.

Design and Construction

Traditional Flat Base Design Unlike some modern designs, Sierra maintains the proven flat base configuration that competitive shooters have relied on for decades. This design foundation ensures consistent accuracy from rifle to rifle.

Custom Tapered Jacket The carefully engineered jacket tapers progressively, controlling expansion rates across a wide velocity range. This means reliable performance whether your 8mm is pushing these bullets at 2600 fps or slower velocities below 2000 fps.

Performance Characteristics

• Sectional Density: .205 (excellent for penetration)
• Ballistic Coefficients: .336 at 2600+ fps, .329 between 2000-2600 fps, .314 at 2000 fps and below
• Weight Retention: The tapered jacket design maximizes weight retention through game, delivering the deep penetration that separates one-shot kills from wounded animals
