Sierra Pro-Hunter .375 Caliber Bullets

The Sierra Pro-Hunter .375 200 grain flat nose bullet represents a time-tested solution for hunters pursuing medium to heavy game. Introduced in 1987, this bullet has earned its reputation through consistent field performance.

Design and Construction

PowerJacket Technology

• Sierra's proprietary PowerJacket ensures positive, even expansion
• Skived jacket design promotes controlled mushrooming at all recommended velocities
• Flat nose profile designed for use in tubular magazines
• Cannelure location optimized for secure crimping

Ballistic Performance

• .375 caliber, 200 grain weight
• Sectional Density: .203
• Variable ballistic coefficients:
  • .195 @ 2100 fps and above
  • .212 between 2100 and 1750 fps
  • .232 between 1750 and 1400 fps
  • .248 @ 1400 fps and below

Versatile Application

While designed specifically for the .375 Winchester cartridge, this bullet performs exceptionally well in other .375 platforms:

• Rifles: Ideal for .375 Winchester and .375 H&H Magnum (maintain velocities around 2200 fps in the Magnum to prevent over-expansion)
• Handguns: Proven effective in the .375 Super Magnum revolver and Thompson Center Contender

Field Performance

The large amount of exposed lead at the tip, combined with PowerJacket skiving, ensures quick and even expansion across all suggested velocity ranges. Traditional Sierra accuracy provides the precision needed for ethical hunting on medium to large game and silhouette shooting.
