Winchester XPR Sporter .30-06 Springfield 24" Walnut

Winchester XPR Sporter: Classic Walnut Meets Modern Engineering

The Winchester XPR Sporter represents a thoughtful marriage of traditional aesthetics and contemporary rifle engineering. For hunters who appreciate the look and feel of genuine walnut, this rifle delivers without compromise.

Accuracy at Its Core

The heart of the XPR is Winchester's M.O.A. Trigger System—a precision-engineered trigger with zero take-up, zero creep, and zero overtravel. This trigger housing and all internal components are constructed from polished and hardened carbon steel with a blued finish for durability and corrosion resistance.

The free-floating, button-rifled barrel is precisely aligned and headspaced during assembly via barrel nut. A recessed target crown protects the muzzle rifling from wear and impact damage, helping maintain accuracy downrange. The chromoly steel barrel is thermally stress-relieved for consistent performance across a wide variety of bullet weights and types.

Reliable Action

The robust XPR bolt is crafted from chromoly steel barstock and through-hardened during heat treatment. Three front locking lugs and a short 60-degree lift improve scope clearance when cycling. A tough nickel Teflon coating provides smooth operation and added corrosion resistance.

The two-position thumb safety is convenient to operate with your firing hand. A cocking indicator on the bolt shroud gives both tactile and visual reference of the rifle's cocked/uncocked condition. The bolt unlock button allows you to unload the chamber with the safety in the on-safe position.

Stock and Ergonomics

Close-grained Grade I walnut with crisp checkering on the pistol grip and fore-end provides both beauty and function. The flattened fore-end profile improves stability from sandbags or a bench rest. An Inflex Technology recoil pad directs energy down and away from your cheek to reduce felt recoil.

A steel recoil lug is inletted into the stock to prevent receiver twisting under recoil, ensuring reliable and predictable long-range accuracy. The one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame design offers a generous guard opening for use with gloves.
