Ruger Vaquero SASS .357 Magnum Revolver Pair

The Ruger Vaquero SASS: Western Tradition Meets Modern Safety

The Ruger Vaquero SASS represents the pinnacle of single-action revolver design for Cowboy Action Shooting and traditional western sport shooting. This consecutive serial number pair—marked with the distinctive "SASS" prefix—combines authentic Old West aesthetics with modern engineering and safety features.

Design & Ergonomics

The Vaquero features Ruger's signature larger crescent-shaped ejector rod head, a traditional design element that enhances both appearance and function. The western-style hand-filling grip has long been recognized as one of the most comfortable and naturally-pointing grip designs available, making it intuitive for shooters of all experience levels.

Safety & Reliability

Patented Transfer Bar Mechanism: The transfer bar and loading gate interlock provide exceptional security against accidental discharge—a critical feature for safe handling.

Patented Reverse Indexing Pawl: This innovation simplifies loading and unloading while the traditional beveled cylinder makes holstering smooth and reliable.

Cold Hammer-Forged Barrel: Results in ultra-precise rifling that delivers exceptional accuracy, longevity, and easy cleaning.
