Savage Arms Model 64 TR-SR: Precision Rimfire Performance
The Savage Arms Model 64 TR-SR represents a thoughtful approach to rimfire rifle design. This semi-automatic 22 LR rifle combines proven reliability with practical features that appeal to both newcomers and experienced shooters.
Design and Action
The rifle employs a straight-blowback semi-automatic action—a time-tested design that delivers consistent performance. The action feeds reliably from a detachable 10-round box magazine, giving you plenty of shooting between reloads.
Barrel and Accuracy
The 16.5-inch fluted heavy carbon steel barrel features a threaded muzzle, allowing you to attach suppressors or other muzzle devices. The fluting reduces weight while maintaining rigidity, and the heavy profile supports accurate shooting from rest or supported positions.
Ergonomics and Customization
- One-piece Picatinny scope rail for optic mounting
- Black hardwood tactical stock with a clean, functional design
- Swivel studs for sling attachment
- Drilled and tapped receiver for additional mounting options
Practical Applications
Whether you're plinking at the range, training new shooters, or hunting small game, the Model 64 TR-SR handles the job with dependable accuracy. The 22 LR cartridge remains one of the most economical and enjoyable rounds to shoot.
Summary
Savage Arms has built a reputation on delivering quality at reasonable prices. The Model 64 TR-SR continues that tradition with a straightforward, reliable rimfire platform that rewards good shooting fundamentals.
