Leupold Dual Dovetail Base System for Winchester XPR
The Leupold Dual Dovetail (DD) mounting system represents one of the strongest scope base solutions available for modern rifles. This two-piece base set is specifically engineered for the Winchester XPR platform and excels with standard to magnum caliber rifles that generate significant recoil.
Key Features
- Dual-dovetail design provides superior strength and repeatability
- Two-piece steel construction allows flexible ring placement and sight-in adjustment
- Matte finish resists glare and corrosion
- Twist-and-lock action ensures a rock-solid connection between base and rings
- Dovetail slots on front and back of the mount enable precise zeroing and adjustment
Why Choose Dual Dovetail
The DD system's strength comes from its dual-contact design, which distributes recoil forces more effectively than single-dovetail alternatives. The twist-and-lock mechanism in compatible Leupold rings creates a mechanical bond that won't shift under heavy recoil. This makes the system particularly valuable for magnum rifles and high-powered hunting applications.
The two-piece configuration gives you flexibility in ring placement, allowing you to optimize your scope position for your specific shooting style and rifle setup.
